Risk to Infants Decreases Following Major Formula Recall

The ECDC and EFSA have released a joint assessment confirming that the risk of exposure to cereulide, a bacterial toxin, has significantly decreased across Europe. This follows an extensive recall of infant formula products in several countries, including Austria, Belgium, and France. Authorities launched the investigation after seven countries reported potential cases linked to contaminated products. While the likelihood of new exposure is now low, officials continue to monitor the market to ensure all affected batches are removed.
