Report on Illegal Return Regulation Proposal
The European Parliament published a report on the proposal for a regulation establishing a common system for the return of third-country nationals staying illegally in the Union, repealing Directive 2008/115/EC. This report details proposed changes to the rules and procedures for returning individuals who do not have the right to stay in the EU. The regulation aims to create a more efficient and harmonized approach to return procedures across member states. The report (A-10-2026-0048) will be debated and voted on in the Parliament.
New EU rules for returning undocumented migrants are under consideration.
