ECDC supports Latvia leptospirosis outbreak review
The ECDC, in collaboration with Latvian authorities and the EU Health Task Force (EUHTF), has concluded an After-Action Review (AAR) of Latvia’s 2025 leptospirosis outbreak response. This review aims to strengthen future preparedness and response to leptospirosis and other public health threats. The AAR identified key areas for improvement in surveillance, communication, and coordination. The findings will inform updates to national preparedness plans and enhance the EU's capacity to manage cross-border health crises.
