EMA Recommends Eight New Human Medicines
The European Medicines Agency's (EMA) Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) recommended eight new medicines for approval at its May 2026 meeting. Among these is Jascayd (nerandomilast) for treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and another type of pulmonary fibrosis. This brings new treatment options closer to patients across the EU, improving public health and quality of life for those suffering from these conditions. The recommendations now go to the European Commission for final approval.
