EU Watchdog Probes Crypto Firms' Digital Resilience
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a coordinated supervisory action to assess the digital operational resilience of Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs). The action will focus on how firms protect client funds held in custody and their overall cybersecurity preparedness. National regulators across the EU will conduct the assessments to ensure firms can withstand cyber threats and operational disruptions. This is a key step in implementing the EU's Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
