EU & Western Balkans Boost Migrant Smuggling Fight
Prosecutors from EU member states and the Western Balkans met in Vienna to strengthen cooperation against migrant smuggling networks. The meeting, facilitated by the EU's judicial cooperation agency Eurojust, focused on improving cross-border investigations of organised crime groups. This initiative is part of a broader EU strategy to manage migration and enhance security at its external borders. The goal is to establish more effective joint operations and information sharing between judicial authorities in the EU and its neighbouring region.
