EIB Funds AI-Powered Cancer Detection with €20M
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing a €20 million venture debt loan to Finnish innovator Aiforia to advance its AI-powered cancer detection technology. The funding aims to support the development of AI software that helps pathologists diagnose cancers like lung and breast cancer more accurately and efficiently. This investment, part of the InvestEU programme, highlights the EU's strategy of backing high-tech, high-impact companies in the healthcare sector. Aiforia will use the funds to expand its research and commercial operations.
