EU Counter-Terrorism Efforts

The European Union is actively bolstering its counter-terrorism capabilities, with Eurojust and Europol at the forefront. Recent successes include a landmark terrorism conviction in Slovenia, facilitated by Eurojust, against a foreign terrorist fighter, demonstrating the effectiveness of international judicial cooperation, specifically with Iraq. In a separate operation, Eurojust also supported German and Romanian authorities in apprehending a suspected founder of a right-wing extremist terrorist organisation, highlighting the EU's commitment to tackling diverse extremist threats.
