EU AI Regulation Officially Published

Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the EU's landmark law on artificial intelligence, has been officially published. The regulation lays down harmonised rules on the development, placing on the market, and use of AI systems within the Union. It aims to ensure the safety and fundamental rights of EU citizens while fostering innovation. The regulation will be rolled out in stages, with full implementation expected by 2027.
