ECDC Supports Latvia Leptospirosis Review

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) supported Latvia in reviewing its response to the 2025 leptospirosis outbreak. The ECDC, along with Latvian national authorities and the EU Health Task Force (EUHTF), conducted an After-Action Review (AAR). The review aims to strengthen future preparedness and response to leptospirosis and other waterborne diseases. The collaboration highlights the importance of cross-border cooperation in managing public health threats. Results of the review will inform future public health strategies.
