EU Agencies Warn of Salmonella in Alfalfa Seeds

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) have identified alfalfa sprouted seeds as the likely source of a multi-country Salmonella outbreak. A joint rapid assessment has linked the seeds to a string of infections across several EU member states.
