EU Boosts Crime-Fighting Ties with Balkans, Latin America

Eurojust, the EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, has concluded a major training event to strengthen cooperation with authorities in the Western Balkans and Latin America. The training focused on the use of Joint Investigation Teams (JITs), a key tool for tackling complex, cross-border organised crime like drug trafficking and cybercrime. By enhancing these international partnerships, Eurojust aims to create a more effective global response to criminal networks that target the EU. This initiative is part of the EU's broader strategy to bolster security through international judicial cooperation.
