Deal on Vehicle Circularity & End-of-Life Vehicles
The Council and Parliament have reached a provisional agreement on new rules for vehicle circularity and the management of end-of-life vehicles. The new rules aim to promote a circular economy by making vehicle production more sustainable and improving the collection, treatment, and recycling of end-of-life vehicles. This includes measures to increase the use of recycled materials in new vehicles. The agreed text will now be formally adopted by both institutions.
