Europol Disrupts 'SocksEscort' Proxy Service
Europol, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies from several countries, has disrupted the 'SocksEscort' proxy service, which was allegedly used by cybercriminals. The coordinated operation, code-named 'Lightning', targeted a website offering IP proxy services that facilitated various cybercrimes globally. Authorities from Austria, France, the Netherlands, and the United States participated, with Eurojust providing judicial support. The takedown aims to reduce the availability of infrastructure used for malicious online activities.
