Europol has officially launched the European Centre Against Migrant Smuggling (ECAMS) at its headquarters in The Hague. The centre aims to enhance the EU's response to migrant smuggling by improving information sharing and operational coordination among member states. ECAMS will facilitate joint investigations, provide analytical support, and develop strategies to disrupt criminal networks involved in migrant smuggling. A press conference was held to mark the launch.
