JIT Focuses on Illegal Transfer of Ukrainian Children

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) established at Eurojust to investigate core international crimes committed in Ukraine has extended its mandate and added a focus on the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children. Authorities from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine are participating in the JIT. The team aims to gather evidence and prosecute individuals responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The investigation highlights the EU's commitment to ensuring accountability for atrocities committed during the conflict.
