Michaud to Chair European Banking Authority
François-Louis Michaud will assume the role of Chair of the European Banking Authority (EBA) on April 16, 2026. His appointment was formally approved by the Council of the European Union. Michaud's responsibilities will include overseeing the EBA's efforts to ensure effective and consistent regulation and supervision of the banking sector across the EU. He will also play a key role in promoting financial stability and protecting consumers.
