ECDC Reviews Latvia's Leptospirosis Response
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) supported Latvia in reviewing its response to the 2025 leptospirosis outbreak. Together with Latvian authorities and the EU Health Task Force, an After-Action Review (AAR) was completed. The goal is to strengthen preparedness and response to future outbreaks of leptospirosis and other waterborne diseases. The review examined coordination, communication, and resource allocation during the 2025 event.
