ECDC Supports Latvia's Leptospirosis Review
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) supported Latvia's review of its response to the 2025 leptospirosis outbreak. ECDC, along with Latvian authorities and the EU Health Task Force, conducted an After-Action Review (AAR) to identify areas for improvement in preparedness and response to leptospirosis and other waterborne diseases. The review aims to strengthen public health measures and improve future outbreak management. The findings will be used to update national guidelines and protocols.
