New EU Migration and Asylum Pact Comes into Force
The European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) has welcomed the official entry into application of the new Pact on Migration and Asylum. This landmark reform, years in the making, establishes a new set of rules for managing migration and asylum claims across the EU. The framework aims to create a more efficient and uniform system, balancing solidarity among member states with responsibility for border control. Member states now have two years to transpose the new regulations into their national laws.
