EIB Backs Landmark €3.5B German Green Bond
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced its support for a landmark €3.5 billion European green bond issued by German grid operator TenneT. This is the largest corporate green bond issuance to date, aimed at financing critical electricity transmission projects. The investment will help expand and modernise Germany's power grid to accommodate more renewable energy.
