EU Agency Coordinates Human Trafficking Bust in NL & RO
Eurojust, the EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, has coordinated a major operation against a human trafficking ring. Law enforcement authorities in the Netherlands and Romania conducted simultaneous arrests and searches on July 14. The criminal group is suspected of labour exploitation. This action was facilitated by a joint investigation team set up by the two countries and supported by Eurojust to ensure effective cross-border judicial cooperation. The investigation is ongoing to dismantle the entire criminal network.
